Do you sell new or used frames?
Both. All of our new frames have their own category, however if we have any new sunglasses, they will appear in the sunglass category. Most of the vintage eyewear is used.

Do your frames come with prescription lenses?
We do not provide a prescription lens service. Any prescription lenses currently in used frames are the previous owner's. Most opticians will replace them with your own prescription lenses.

How do I know a pair of frames will fit?
We provide sizes in all of our descriptions, including any information found on the frames. We also measure the frames--the tallest part of the rims, the width of the frames across the front and the length of the arms from the hinge to the end. These measurements are in inches while sizes on the frames are normally in mm.

What do the numbers in front of "mm" mean?
The two sets of double digits, such as 48/20, are the lens and nosebridge measurements. The first two digits indicate the measurement of the width of one lens at its widest point. The second is the nosebridge with in mm (millimeters) of its narrowest point. The three digit number is called the temple length. This is actually the length of the arm from where it curves from the front of the frames to the tip of the arm. Some styles have a space before the hinge, so the temple measurement disregards the placement of the hinge. Also, this measurement would be taken running a tape measure along the arm and curve for the ear, not in a straight line.

Can I return the frames if they don't fit?
We encourage customers to pay close attention to the size of the frames, but if there is no way that the frames will work, we will accept the return. However, the customer will pay for the return shipping and if the return is from no fault of ours, we will refund only the amount paid for the frames and not the original shipping costs.

My optician adjusted my last pair of frames to fit me. Aren't your used frames adjusted to fit someone else?
Sometimes, but most opticians can easily re-adjust frames to fit, even those with plastic arms. They have a special machine that will heat up a pair of frames just enough to make them pliable.

Do you ship overseas and how much is it?
Yes, we ship to many other countries. The cost is a flat $11.50 to ship to all countries other than the US, Canada and Mexico, no matter how many pairs you purchase.

Do you have more vintage frames than those listed here?
We have frames listed at two other sites: Chigal at Etsy (http://chigal.etsy.com) and Vintage Eyes at ArtFire (http://vintageeyes.artfire.com).

Do you offer a discount if I buy more than one pair?
Yes. We offer the discount in shipping with no charges for additional items. In other words, you pay the same flat amount in shipping regardless of how many pairs you purchase.
